Maxwell Davenport Taylor (August 26, 1901 – April 19, 1987) was a senior United States Army officer and diplomat of the mid-20th century.[1] He served with distinction in World War II, most notably as commander of the 101st Airborne Division, nicknamed "The Screaming Eagles." Louis Edward Coira (b. 1916, Bloomsburg, Penn.), U.S. Air Force officer, graduated from West Point in 1938, received his pilot wings the next year, and served as an instructor at Kelly Field, Texas, until April 1941. During World War II, he served in the Panama Canal Zone, commanded the 25th Bombardment Squadron in Ecuador, and also commanded the 6th Bombardment Squadron.
